Summer music

My Symphony No. 1 necklace got featured on Talis' treasury, Summer Music. Check it out before the link is gone! It's a very lovely treasury. I love the title as well. Thank you so much for including me :)

Also, I just found a way of how to save your treasury snapshots, thanks to Etsy's forum. The best way for me is to use Screengrab add ons for firefox. It's really easy to install in firefox and you will get the screen shots in just a simple click :)

By the way, I'm totally falling in love with the song Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. I couldn't stop playing the song (hope I'm not the only one). Press the play button below to listen to it!

My dinner

I have been to Fresh restaurant on Spadina & Bloor couple times and I absolutely love that place. It is a very chic/modern vegetarian restaurant. Although you're not a vegetarian, you will love the food there.

Last night, I made a grilled sandwich inspired by Fresh restaurant. I also made baked potatoes with onions on the side as well. Yum yum. I found that if you use grilled red peppers, it will make the sandwich taste so much better. Grilled peppers have so much taste and it is sweeter than a fresh red pepper.

I also prefer ciabatta bread than a regular plain sandwich bread. It is so crispy and chewy at the same time when you grill it!

What I bought....

I haven't had time to write about what I bought in Japan yet, today seems like a good day to get started :)

I'm extremely crazy about cosmetics and skin care. I hope I'm not the only one! While I was sightseeing, I found a sort of drugstore/cosmetics/skin care shop in Shinjuku. There're so many things to choose from in the store. The packagings are so pretty and very tempting. Somehow, I managed to find what I was looking for.

It's called Pore Vacuum by Sana. It's like a pore cleanser with clay texture. First you apply it on the nose area, then massage it with a little dab of water. I was skeptical at first, but I'm on my second try and I seem to like it very much. I like the texture when you apply a little water on it, it will heat up as you massage.

Onsen powder called Metaboo (from metabolism, perhaps?). It has a piggy on the package, how cute! I'm a sucker for cute stuff! The onsen powder is basically a bath powder. The green package is a lemon scented powder and the red package is a pepper or spice scented powder. I was told that you will burn some calories as you're in the tub!

The weather is so dull and gloomy today. It rained all day long. I personally prefer winter, snow, summer and fall. Anything but rain because I hate the feeling of soggy and wetness!

Weekend deals

Starting this weekend, I'm going to add a new feature to my shop. Some necklaces will be on discount. I'm not going to tell which necklaces will be on discount yet, please stay tuned for tomorrow :)

I watched So You Think You Can Dance last night and I wished I could vote for Randi and Evan. I love the dance routine so much. It was so romantic and lovely. I couldn't believe it was their first time dancing together. They were amazing!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them :)

There are so many great contemporary dancers this year. I can't wait to see Mia Michaels' choreography. I'm getting ready for the show tonight!

Canada goes green

I have been looking for my perfect green bag forever, but somehow I just couldn't find the one I really like yet. I have a really old, almost torn green bag and wanted to replace it very badly. I'm very picky. I wanted to find the green bag I can use for a long long time. I want a green bag that could fit in my purse and is durable enough to hold all my groceries (I tend to eat a lot!). Here are some of my favorites!

Postmark Canvas Tote Bag by: Ching's Tote Shop

Keep Calm and Carry On Canvas Tote Bag by: By Order Of The Crown

Mustache Mania Canvas Tote Bag by: Off The Beaten Path

Farmer's Public Market by: The Craft Pantry

Stores in Toronto are now charging $0.05 per plastic bag. What a good change! Many people are now carrying their green bags with them. I hope it's not just a trend. We have to continue to make the world a better place :)
