Makeup is art { Halloween makeup }

Halloween is coming. Have you decided who or what you will be this year? I have some awesome makeup photos to share with you today. Hopefully, they will get you in the mood for Halloween :)

While searching for some makeup tips over a year ago, I accidentally found ManWomanFilm on youtube. Her works are always amazing and fun. I immediately subscribed to her channel. I think her makeup would be an inspiration for Halloween and maybe some parties too!

I love Leopard makeup!

This is stunning.

Wedding makeup and my bridezilla moment

Happy Monday and Happy Victoria day everyone. I hope you are enjoying your long weekend. I'm loving these lovely wedding make up. I love natural make up because I want to still look like myself on a wedding day, but I also want to look like my better and prettier self :)

From Sweet magazine, May 2010 issue.

From Ray magazine, April 2010 issue.

I think I experienced my very first "Bridezilla moment" over the weekend as Atchan and I went through our wedding to-do list. Not that I intended to be one though. Since I'm getting closer to the wedding date, I tend to be worried about every little details. It's sad because I won't be able to enjoy the whole wedding experience as much as I want to. I have to get rid of all anxieties out of my system real soon!!!

Fabulous finds { The Japanese Skincare Revolution }

Seriously who doesn't want to have glowing skin? Of course, I too want to have glowing skin without having to spend too much money on expensive skincare products. I'm a big fan of skincare products and I wear makeup on a regular basis. So, I just can't miss this!

If you read Japanese magazines such as CanCam or Non-no. I'm sure you are familiar with this name. Chizu Saeki is a well-known beauty expert in Japan. She is famous for her "Lotion Mask". I once saw the lotion mask technique on CanCam and was so curious to know what it was. I'm very happy that her book is translated into English!

The lotion mask is similar to facial mask sheets, but you can use your own lotion and a cotton without having to spend $10-15 per sheet!

After I read her interviews, I decided to buy it on Amazon immediately. Her book provides a holistic way of caring your skin such as massage techniques, at home spa, etc. You can read her interviews here:

Make Up Forever: 5 Camouflage Palette Cream

About a month ago, I purchased a Make Up Forever concealer at a Sephora store in Toronto. I heard so many good reviews on Makeup Alley, so I decided to give it a try

I was very excited to use it. Since it came in many shades. I applied the second shade from the right, then I applied a lighter shade under the eyes area. I didn't use the lightest shade they offer, it was way too light for me. It brightened up my dark circles right after I applied the concealer. I was very happy with it (for like 10 mins). Then I set it with a face power. Sometimes, I applied face primer before applying the concealer to cover some visible lines (I have a few...bummer).

And after 10 mins or so, the concealer started to settle into the creases under my eyes. I tried to blend it, but it wasn't that easy although the texture was creamy. I even applied moisturizer before applying the concealer, but it will crease no matter what I do. Plus it was cakey and made the lines under my eyes became more visible :(

Three hours later, it melted off (in Winter!). I ended up looking horrible using the concealer than without it. This product is just not for me! I'm still hunting for the perfect under eyes concealer!

Fabulous finds { RMK liquid foundation }

My new makeup foundation has arrived the other day. I ran out of my Kanebo Media foundation, seems like the product is discontinued too.

I have heard about RMK for quite some time now. It is mostly recommended in plenty of Japanese magazines. Since, I have Asian skin, I prefer Asian products. They tend to match my skin tone more.

I ordered RMK liquid foundation #102. It has SPF 14. I've been using it for a couple of days now. I LIKE it very much. I love it more than my previous one. This foundation is light and tend to dry quickly. If you have dry skin, you may find the foundation a little too drying. I have combo skin, so far so good for me :) The texture is very very light and watery, which makes it easier to glide. You don't need to apply a lot.

The foundation doesn't cover much. It tends to brighten and make your skin tone more even. It doesn't cover acne or dark spots very much. I love that it doesn't make my skin look dull or oily. It stays the same hours after I applied the foundation on.

I always check the ingredients before deciding to buy it. I try to avoid products that will clog pores.

Ingredients: Water, Cyclomethicone, Alcohol, Phenyl Trimethicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Silk Extract, Sorbitan Isostearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Dimethicone Copolyol, Egg Oil, Magnesium Sulfate, Diisostearyl Malate (+/-) Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Talc.

This is my first cosmetic review ever! I hope it helps :)
